Hong Kong, how it is – Crossing the border with Shenzhen 深圳 and the 5 day Shenzhen Visa

In this video I travel from Sheung Shui in Hong Kong to Lo Wu in Shenzhen and I give some information about the 5 day visa on arrival for Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

Please note this visa is only available for Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, if you're going to be travelling outside the economic zone it'd be best if you get a full visa for the PRC.

If you're travelling to China for the first time, it's highly advisable to get your visa in your home country before travelling out here.

Any questions about travelling to Shenzhen from Hong Kong or visas for Shenzhen, please do ask in the comments.

I recorded this video a couple of weeks ago, as I currently have man flu I opted for text instead of voice overs.. Sorry for the quality of the video, its quite difficult to film using a smartphone whilst being discreet.

    Great video, thanks!

Just had a quick question for you or anyone else that knows about this as I
found some contradictory information on the internet: when you get a Visa
stamp at Luohu (or other ports) do they stamp an expiry date of 5 days into
the future, meaning if you got your stamp and entered Shenzhen on a Monday,
you could stay there until midnight on the Saturday (giving you effectively
6 calendar days in Shenzhen)? Or do they stamp a date 4 days in the future,
effectively meaning that the day of entry (Monday in my example) would be
included in the 5 days and you would need to leave Shenzhen by midnight on
the Friday. I plan to fly out of HK International Airport on the same day I
leave Shenzhen so I’m just trying to work out what date I should book that
    flight for.

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Dave The Outlaw. hehe

When I crossed the border the borderwomen at the Chinese side looked at me
for about 10 minutes or so. Switched from my passport to my face and so on.
    lol

As far as I know you also can get the 5 day visa at Huanggang border/皇岗口岸!
For Germans the visa is around 150 RMB.
